You’re looking for a compact electric scooter? Then MZ’s Charly is maybe just what you’ve been searching for. The compact construction and powerful electric motor make Charly an excellent companion on company grounds, camping sites, at festivals or for a quick trip in the city.

Speeds of more than 20 km/h aren’t possible – however in exchange you ride a really cool and cultish vehicle!

Charly from MZ is not a regular electric scooter. The double headlights make it look rather like a robot out of TV-series in the 1970’s. However, it is filled with innovative electrotechnology and a modern rechargeable battery. The Motor allows Charly to accelerate quickly to 20 km/h, which is more than fast enough considering you don’t have to wear a helmet, no matter whether you’re riding in the city or on company grounds.

It is not mandatory to wear a helmet. All road users who were born before 01.04.1965 don’t even need a driving licence to ride Charly into the sunset! All those who were born after this date only require a driving licence for a moped or a car.

A distance of approximately 20 kilometres is possible with MZ Charly. When you consider that most people only make short journeys every day either by car or using public transport, an electric scooter could be a sensible alternative for many commuters. Even if the rechargeable battery completely drains on the way to work, it can be recharged using a normal electric socket in only 5 hours and Charly is then fit again for a journey of approximately 20 kilometres and you can ride home without a worry.

MZ Charly is an efficient vehicle. Long journeys, obviously, are out of the question, however Charly is perfect for making short journeys and is great fun to ride! And if you recharge the battery with electricity from a photovoltaic facility, you can ride through the city with a clear conscience.
