Since March 2009 former GP rider Ralf Waldmann, former GP rider Martin Wimmer and his wife Martina Häger are the owners of the company MZ, which was renamed "Motorenwerke Zschopau GmbH".

The philosophy of the company is to combine modern, innovative and environmentally-friendly technology with tradition.The MZ product range reflects this philosophy.

The models are manufactured using the platform principle which has been applied successfully in the automobile industry. The platform principle means that the final assembly of the machines takes place in the MZ factory in Germany and the individual components are produced by foreign companies.

MZ employees, MZ engineers and the former GP riders Ralf Waldmann and Martin Wimmer put their vital experience, skill and knowledge into the development of new models.
